The Company
We are a small indie based in Hartlepool, northeast England and we punch well above our weight class!
Formed in February 2020 by Adam Bouabda, as a "Grown Up" version of his former production business Couch Potato Films.
The company has produced scripted comedy, BFI-funded short films, masses of online content and its first feature film.
Adam heads up all scripted development and production and is also across unscripted development.
In November 2020 Louise Brannon joined us as development coordinator. She has extensive experience in Factual Entertainment and also Drama. Louise is the person to speak to regarding factual entertainment ideas.
In August 2022 we won the BBC Comedy Regional Partnership Scheme, with HAT TRICK PRODUCTIONS, working directly with Jimmy Mulville and Angela Sinden, alongside their brilliant development team, and have had development commissions with WGGB Sitcom Award Nominee 2023 Anna Costello and Female Sketch Group 'Your Aunt Fanny'.
In December 2023, we were commissioned to produce
three films for BBC Morning Live and have since been commissioned three more.

The people
Adam Bouabda – Managing Director
Adam graduated from the Northern School of Art in 2015 with a first-class honours degree in Creative Film and Moving Image Production. He produced his first short film, Ripper(2016) by James Campbell. In 2019 Couch Potato Films was chosen to produce eight comedy shorts (Sparks) for Channel 4 alongside North East Comedy Hot House. In 2020, Adam formed Sea & Sky Pictures to further pursue Television and Film production, in 2022 Adam was a Broadcast Hotshot
Louise Brannon – Development Co-Ordinator
Louise graduated from Leeds University and has worked in the industry for the past twenty years. She started her career at Planet 24 working on The Big Breakfast and progressed on the production management route to hit shows such as Big Brother, Masterchef and Britain’s Next Top Model. She has worked with a wide range of production companies including Endemol, Avalon and Done and Dusted. After relocating to the North East, she continued working in factual entertainment and worked on a number of dramas for the BBC and ITV. She joined Sea and Sky in November 2020 as a Development Coordinator.
